For this project I worked on the CG sequence of the evolution of the Predator boot. We had a small team that carefully worked together, yet we all took full control of creating a shot from start to finish. Tim Borgmann worked on the close-up shots, while Ruediger (the director) and I worked on the wider shots.
After I remodelled the boot, together with Jef Fleurkens, based off of CAD data and scans, I worked on 5 full-CG shots. This involved closely matching the animatic. Once the animatic had been matched with the high-res boot, it was carefully styled, lit and rendered. This required a lot of attention to detail including the simulation of droplets and grass, animated displacement maps and the careful placement of lights.
